Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Tab 7.0 – a powerful dual-core touting tablet with 1.2Ghz clock and available with Honeycomb flavored software. It also boasts a 7″ screen with 1024×600 resolution which according to phonearena is supposedly even better than IPS screens. It is also lighter than the original Galaxy Tab weighing just 345 grams(12.16 ounces).
Supporting the 1.2Ghz dual cored number cruncher is a whole Gb of RAM – together they can easily handle 1080p HD video. In terms of software, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus will come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb out of the box.
Of course, Samsung’s very own TouchWiz interface will be installed on top of it along with a bunch of handy apps provided by the company, namely Social Hub, Readers Hub, and Music Hub. Last but not least, the tablet will be equipped with a 21Mbps HSPA+ radio meaning that you will be able to stay connected to the web even when on the move.
Samsung seems to be the only real competitor out there to take on the Apple iPads which seem to be taking over Earth. Even Apple is wary of these Galaxy Tabs, which is why they’ve been steadily suing Samsung all over the globe.
