Note: Click the images for hi-res viewingEveryone who has used a Nokia n900 will have felt how tightly built the body of the n900 really is – there is simply no space between the body and the inner electronics. While this is good to keep the form factor a minimum it also makes sure that the handset absorbs the full shock if it falls down. And that is bad.
Though this might be due to the difference in design I feel I should let you know that the leather definitely has better feel than the Vaja n95 housing that I’d reviewed before. Though both are calf skin leather, the Vaja version was far more tight and hard. The Noreve case on the other hand has come out to be soft and smooth. And the rouge-red shade makes for a perfect match for the black n900 sitting within.
Protection wise the case covers all edges of the n900. The lower left corner can be said to be the most exposed part of the n900. The case also has neatly hidden slot for attaching the belt clip – speaking of which they’ve provided 2!
One is the plastic standard issue plastic belt clip that comes with the leather case and the other is a premium quality metal belt clip that has been designed with as much elegance as the leather case.
Another point worth noting is that you can speak to callers even with the case closed due to the mesh covered slit provided over the earpiece. Now that is what I call a pro-active design! Good going guys!!
