The first generation of mouse came with a ball in it that was used as a tracker and also with some set-falls for instance the ball needed to be cleaned from time to time,also the tracking and precision was a problem. Then came the second generation of mouse with and optical lens for tracking and pin point precision. Closely followed by the wireless optical mouse for those who despised cables that tangled and created a mess at times. Mad Catz has come up with a wireless gaming mouse that will change history, it’s called the Cyborg R.A.T 9.

R.A.T9 is one of a kind gaming mouse that looks like one of those nanobots from Transformers. The predecessors R.A.T7  series have won hordes of awards from gaming websites like the IGN & PC Gamer. R.A.T7 came with a cord ,its new version R.A.T9  has got rid of the nasty cord along with a few technical improvements. The R.A.T9 comes with 2.4GHz wireless technology that ensures you lightning fast reactions remains just as fast. It comes with a lightweight metal chassis. 5600 DPI featuring a dual eyed laser sensor for pro gamers who demand high precision and tracking with low sensitivity  and high speed movement.

This can be done with the ability to save your four favorite DPI settings which can be chosen by a rocker switch on the mouse to toggle between your favorite DPI settings. R.A.T9 comes with 5×6 gram weights  interchangeable weight to add or less the weight to the mouse to give you the right feel. A weight storage container is provided to store the weights when not in use and it can placed in the charginng dock. There is also a choice of three pinkie grips and three palm rests which can be interchanged to meet your comfort. The palm rest can be moved forward or backwards to fit your hand for that perfect grip.

A ST programming software comes with the R.A.T9 to tweak your DPI & cursor sensitivity. It also allows you to assign different settings to a profile to suit requirements of different games accordingly and assign commands to the 5 programmable buttons. The ST programming software helps you to assign a button to decrease the DPI ,the button can then be pressed in game for those tricky sniper scope aim. The additional weight along with the cylindrical container,2 additional palm rests and 2 pinkie grips come in a classy tin box branded by Cyborg. There are two batteries included one for charging while the other is in use, each of them can last up to nine hours of gameplay. The charging dock comes with a dock for the weights and charging the battery, the charging dock also acts as the receiver.
